It is a place of inspiration. Potato season heralds the emergence of tractors.
Roads turn vermillion as tyres shed clay bound old red sandstone earth from the
fields. Beauty abounds at apple blossom time in the cider orchards. Spiraling tendrils
of hops climb their frames and Herefordshire Cattle are encompassed in hedgerowed
fields.
Her paintings have been exhibited in Wales and works have been shown in The Royal
Birmingham Society of Art. Louise J Scott has been deemed an inspirational artist
whose works are echoes of the natural world, her success evidenced by her international
sales.
Louise is a self taught professional artist who studied Environmental Science and
Biology in Scotland. She has travelled all over the world including Alaska and Everest
base camp. Louise has accumulated a wealth of life experiences and worked as :- a
veterinary nurse; surveyed plants for Scottish Natural Heritage in the Cairngorms;
a Seasonal Ranger for the Ministry of Parks in British Columbia ; established and
managed an learning centre in Hereford.
Welsh border artist Louise Scott lives near Leominster in Herefordshire UK.
Louise initially made her mark as a landscape artist working primarily in the Brecon
Beacons National Park in Wales where she grew up.
Her love of animals, and requests from owners led her to develop a pet portrait service.
She shows exceptional talent diversifying into the media of pastels. The Artist
now works on a commission only basis and welcomes all enquires.
